Start Time 8:30 am
Distance approximately 5 miles
17 Berta Drive
Host: Kathy Kirsling
Kathy will host her 10th Annual Berta Run in beautiful, high elevation Edgewood, NM. Be prepared for a challenging course of about 5 miles. There will be hills, more hills, and some roads and trails. This is the same course as the Handicap Run that Kathy has hosted in previous years.
It may be sunny in Albuquerque, but a whole different story in Edgewood, so bring layers of clothing. Also bring along a dish to share for the potluck afterwards. Please do not bring your dog to this event.
Directions from Central Ave & Tramway NE:
Smith's Grocery Store is a great place for a carpooling meet-up. It is about 30 minutes from there to Kathy's house.

South Foothills trails
Thanks to everyone who participated and helped!
This event included a run to five different stations in the South Foothills, starting at the trailhead by Gail Leedy's house. At each of the stations, a bag was placed with a deck of cards inside. Runners reached into the bag, drew a card without looking, and headed off to the next station. Once finished, the poker hands were displayed to see who had the best hand.
Nineteen runners finished the course and Lorna Kindel had the best poker hand. Awards were given to Eric and Laura Biedermann as the fastest "young" man and woman and Peter Falk and Joyce Fafard earned fastest "old" man and woman awards.
