_As the largest and most active running club in New Mexico, the
Albuquerque Road Runners consist of a diverse membership of runners and
walkers. We are competitive runners, beginning runners, walkers, weekend warriors, ultra-runners, reformed couch potatoes, or any
other description that involves putting one foot in front of the other.
As a club, we would like to enable runners and walkers of all types to
interact and learn about and from each other.

ARR MISSION STATEMENT
The Albuquerque Road Runners Club is an organization of runners and walkers committed to bringing the benefits of these activities to the community using multiple methods. These include, but are not limited to: sponsoring and supporting running and walking events and training groups; promoting volunteerism in club and community events; supporting other local non-profit organizations with race proceeds and race timing services; and bringing other means of education and encouragement of physical activity to the community at large. We welcome runners and walkers of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. |

Several times during the week, Club members assemble for group runs to advance the social nature of the sport. We invite people of all abilities to participate. Check out the schedule, and be sure to contact the person listed for details.
Our time-handicapped fun runs are free and are designed to equalize participants of different speeds. Each runner or walker is assigned a start time: a slower-paced runner will start earlier than a faster-paced runner. These are all-comers events!
The six-month handicap series begins in November and runs through April. A free pair of shoes is awarded to the points winner for the series. Kelley Garcia presents four stops on the tour. Everyone welcome to participate!

Women-in-Training is a 10-week program to prepare beginning women runners, run-walkers, and walkers for their first 5K, the Women's Distance Festival in July. All levels are welcome to participate.
NEXT CLEANUP
November 2017 The Albuquerque Road Runners have adopted a very useful stretch of bike/pedestrian trail on the West Side, and twice a year a cleanup day is scheduled. Members are urged to volunteer.
