MONTHLY MEETINGS: First Wednesday of the month

Albuquerque Road Runners Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm (unless otherwise announced).
Club members are encouraged to attend ARR's monthly meetings to learn what's happening in the running community, and to find out what the Club has accomplished and has planned for the month. At meetings, you can socialize with old friends and make new connections.
Prospective and new members are welcome to attend and introduce themselves, meet fellow runners, and get involved with the many fun and rewarding activities the Club has to offer.
Meetings generally last about an hour and often feature a speaker and refreshments.

April 2018 Meeting
The April meeting included a presentation by Joe Franklin, head track and field/cross country coach at UNM. Joe talked about injury prevention techniques as an important part of his training program. He addressed how he recruits top-notch athletes to UNM and emphasized that scholastic as well as athletic achievement is important. In addition, he spoke about athlete nutrition and strength training.
