WOMEN'S DISTANCE FESTIVAL
JULY 15, 2012 The 26th Running of the Club's Women's Distance Festival 5K Run and 5K Walk was a great success, thanks to the excellent efforts of race director Eric Biedermann who was ably assisted by many volunteers, notably his wife Laura Biedermann, Club co-president Wendy Wiggins, Shannon Zanelli, and Steve Jett. Coach John Reardon also provided invaluable assistance, and Rodger Sack was outstanding as the event timer. We appreciate our sponsors: Heart & Sole Sports, Great Harvest Bread Company, and Trader Joe's. Our thanks also to lululemon athletica for their hospitality during packet pickup, and for additional considerations. For 25 years the Women's Distance Festival 5K has brought together runners of all abilities and ages. For experienced runners it is a great race for a new PR, and for many new runners it's their first race of any kind. It brings together long-time running pals and sparks new running friendships. Outstanding crowd support will help you to the finish, where you'll find special gifts that set this race apart from any other.
