Edgewood, NM Host: Kathy Kirsling Kathy hosted her 10th Annual Berta Run in beautiful, high elevation Edgewood, NM. The course was a challenging 5 miles on hilly roads and and trails. Weather was exceptionally good this year.

PJs and Pancakes March 18, 2018 Albuquerque Academy This event combined running, PJs, and pancakes. Everyone met at Hoffmantown Church and ran a lap around the Albuquerque Academy. Many of the participants ran in their PJs, albeit some with extra layers on for warmth. The event was followed by optional breakfast at the IHOP at La Cueva Town Center. Poker Run
February 10, 2018 South Foothills trails This event included a run to five different stations in the South Foothills. At each station, a bag was placed with a deck of cards inside. Runners reached into the bag, drew a card without looking, and headed off to the next station. Once finished, the poker hands were displayed to see who had the best hand.
Nineteen runners finished the course and Lorna Kindel had the best poker hand. Awards were given to Eric and Laura Biedermann as the fastest "young" man and woman and Peter Falk and Joyce Fafard earned fastest "old" man and woman awards. |
