MONTHLY MEETINGS

Albuquerque Road Runners Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month.  

No meeting for January.  First membership meeting of 2019 will be on February 6.  The club has reserved the downstairs meeting room at Nexus Brewery from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  Come at 6:30 if you would like to order food.  Check out the Nexus menu here.  The meeting will begin at 7:00.

Club members are encouraged to attend ARR's monthly meetings to learn what's happening in the running community, and to find out what the Club has accomplished and has planned for the month. At meetings, you can socialize with old friends and make new connections.

Prospective and new members are welcome to attend and introduce themselves, meet fellow runners, and get involved with the many fun and rewarding activities the Club has to offer.  Meetings generally last about an hour and often feature a speaker and refreshments.

Board Meetings

The Albuquerque Road Runners Club's Board Meetings are open to the membership. If you would like to attend, please contact the president for details about date, location, and time.

Holiday Party  December 5, 2018

Instead of a  monthly meeting in December, the club held a Holiday Party.  Activities included election of 2019 officers and directors and presentation of awards to winners of the Members Race Series.  The election results are as follows:

  • Geoffrey Tweed - Director

November 2018 Meeting

There were several announcements concerning upcoming club activities:
  • Trail Cleanup Event on November 16, 9 AM at Montgomery and Tramway Boulevards NE
  • Burque Brewery Tour starts a new round of events beginning November 23 at Tractor Brewing Company (Nob Hill)
  • The first FREEforALL run of the season will be December 1 at Academy Hills Park at 8:30 AM
  • The Holiday party and elections will be held on December 5 at the Park Plaza Condominiums

The main event of the meeting was presentations by members Geoffrey Tweed, Tom Besson, Peter Falk, and Cliff Matthews about their favorite race.  Each gave a very informative and interesting talk; Geoffrey on the Georgia Death Race, Tom on the Oklahoma City Marathon, Peter on the Imogene Pass Run, and Cliff on the Bataan Memorial Death March.
